ANFE Auspices the CVS Program for residents of Aged Care homes

ANFE Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) provides social support and companionship to residents of Aged Care homes who have limited family and social contact and who may be at risk of isolation from the general community.

Some residents of aged care homes feel lonely or socially isolated. They may have few visits from family or friends, or have communication or mobility difficulties. Friendly contact can help to reduce the risk of isolation, so ANFE will match residents with a visitor who shares a common interest, hobby or cultural background.

Volunteers visit elderly residents at least once a fortnight to help reduce the risk of isolation and help them connect to the community.

The organization gratefully acknowledges the financial assistance and guidance of the Commonwealth Department of Social Services.
